Major events in the
North East Area
Memorial Day Festival - Join us for the annual
parade, pancake breakfast, and ride.
Gibson Days Festival - TBA. Experience
old time North East as we celebrate the history of the community.
Gather in Gibson Park and join in on social events and mingle with
characters in period costumes.
Picnic in the Park - Every Thursday, June 15th
thru August 17th. Hosted by the North East Arts Council and
the North East Chamber of Commerce. Features hands on arts and projects
for children, entertainment, and lunch for a small fee.
Mercyhurst College Old
Fashioned 4th of July - July 4th.
Located at the Mercyhurst College, North East Campus. Features great
food, Music on the main stage, children's activities, and a fireworks
finale.
The
Cherry Festival - Hosted by the North
East Volunteer Fire Department, the Cherry Festival features an old
time midway and rides; along with one of the largest parades in
Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Wine Country Classic in
Memory of Bill Ransom - Annual USCF Road Race.
National Rib Fest - Sample the best
barbecued ribs from nationally acclaimed chefs. Experience continuous
live entertainment, crafts, and rides.
Harvest Time - Labor Day to Mid
October. Visit any of the area wineries and observe wine making first
hand. Taste the areas best and take some home for your pleasurable
occasions.
The
Wine Festival - September 28th
-30th. Celebrate North East's Grape industry with music,
food, and artisans from around the country. Take an old fashioned hay
ride to one of the local wineries and sample award winning wines.
Light-Up Night - November 23rd.
Welcome Santa Claus to town, caroling, light up Gibson Park.
